This is the prominent UN public display which was used to mark the commemoration of "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People" on November 29, 2005. The Palestinian flag is on one side. The UN flag is on the other side. A map without the UN member state of Israel stands between them.

Here we go again, blaming the U.N. when as usual this is clearly the fault of the U.S.
The U.S. has been witholding payments to the U.N., and they were forced to use very old maps!

It would really be more effective to sneak into the building and add Israel to the existing maps with a (thick) felt marker. In a gay color.
Er... possibly, but then we'll never see the end of the horror stories about Elders poisoning the UN guards (ha!) and spreading depleted uranium and nerve gas over the whole building, thus being the reason for stupid, bureaucratic etc. behavior of this august body.
