Yeonpyeong Island: is it a precursor to another Korean war?

It looks like the small man that resembles a toad in a toupee has decided to make his retirement memorable.

I wonder if the toad in the toupee has run out of whiskey and is using this to get some more free from the US.

When I saw this news this morning, I wondered wht the hell are the North Kreans up to? If they want a war their country will be destroyed. Perhaps you are right, Kim Jong Il whats a Gotterdammerung stle finish to his ugly career

He just wants attention. Although it would be a great time to start trouble. Obamalot wouldn't do anything.

I don't think anyone understands NK by now...

Dick, given that the US is still fighting the two wars left to Obama by Boy George, there is not much the US can do. On the other hand South Korea can pretty well take care of itself with some help from the US troops still in South Korea, the 2nd US Infantry Division, and the Air power, both land-based and carrier, the US can unleash.

As to what Kim Jong is up to, who knows. Maybe shelling Yeonpyeong island is Kim's way of giving his heir more experience in crisis management. That was apparently the rationale behind the sinking of a South Korean warship by NK back in March.

Interesting theme of Obamalot: It's all Bush's fault. How convenient, two years in to Obama's losing adminsitration, now hovering at 39 percent approval.

From the US? I didn't know he is into bourbon, being sure he is a Scotch person.

Dick, well given that Bush Jr did leave Obama two wars and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, I do think it is fair to blame the last administration for the current mess.

Well, David, it is - but up to a point. Remember the three envelopes story?

Snoopy, (Laugh) I have thought about the three envelopes story a number of times since the elections earlier this month. Think Obama is still on the second envelope.

He better hope so. The problem is that he is still trying to use the first one, and it's already overused to smithereens. I think...
