Canadian Journalist Serves as Hamas Propagandist

Saša Petricic works for CBC. He is one of several western journalists, consistently staying "on message" in his reports from Gaza, sticking to Israeli atrocities, constantly retweeting his favourite sources.  He only has 2  twitter favourites, one of which is Al-Jazeera, but he follows a bunch of other "respectable" news organizations such as Russia Today and anti-Israeli NGOs.

Recently Petricic placed this photo on his Facebook profile:

Good stuff. As stated in the comments, "it should win next year's World Press Photo Competition".
Except that Saša didn't take the photo. He did not provide the source, which is a bit sloppy for a journalist. The earliest version I could find actually comes from this openly pro-Hamas activist. In her more recent tweet, the source of the photo is eulogizing Mashaal and "Hamas Resistance". The "nasty Israeli/brave Palestinian women" shot apparently comes from Nabi Saleh. Nabi Saleh is a well known Pallywood movie set up site.

Here is my favourite Nabi Saleh comedy, complete with a blond child. Note that there are more cameras than "protesters" and how the mother (if I can call her that) is goading her kids to attack armed soldiers for the camera.

This is what we get for "unbiased Canadian media". Shoddy Hamas propaganda, without references to primary sources.  Saša's salary comes courtesy of the  taxpayer.

CBC you say? Why am I not surprised? Take heart, they only have about 10% of Canucks watching at any particular time. Dammit, though, we all have to pay for the thing cause it's taxpayer funded.

Which reminds me, I was going to write a letter to certain elected parties in Ottawa about privatizing the damn thing. I think they are scared to touch it for fear of being seen as shutting down their critics. Now, if the Liberals were in power they'd (the CBC) be salivating all over the government, heaping praise left and right. They know who their sugar daddy is.

Such photos only work because the Israelis can be counted on to be civilized. Soldiers in any Arab country wouldn't stand for such a confrontation and ISIS would cut her throat.

Yep. The true picture of goings-on.

Right. The whole thing is a set-up and a provocation for propaganda purposes. This particular Serbian-Canadian journalist is always happy to oblige as a useful idiot.

Guess what... Sasa Petricic deleted this photo from his account overnight. It stayed as his FB profile for several days until several hours ago I twitted him the source of his propaganda. Of course, he did not acknowledge that he has been spreading propaganda.

So the man pays attention. Good.

To some extent. He replaced his FB profile background with a Temple-Mount pic of Israeli police squaring against protesters. Obviously really needed a photo of armed Jews vs unarmed Muslims. The source isn't acknowledged. At least this isn't so obviously staged and out of date.

I'm 98% certain if the Cons made it an election promise they would win an astoundingly large majority. Too chicken, I guess. Good grief, in this day and age when we can view and listen to stuff from everywhere on the planet (and even space) why we need a tax supported broadcaster is beyond me, especially one that insults us on a regular basis.

And, I might add, we don't need a television set to access all that.

And I might also add, that raising money via advertising is a good thing. Allows to viewer the opportunity to get up and run to the bathroom and pee. Can't beat that for a worthwhile service.

Yeah... I am not too sure that making this an election issue is a good idea. It's a little bit like allowing private health care. Makes a lot of sense, but picking the fight with CBC will energize a bunch of neutrals to vote against us.

Just like "our" ABC in Australia. If it got privatised it would be a big vote winner
