Tammy Obeidallah (Watts): the words and the deeds

Recently I have encountered this meme:

Of course, practically none of you require an explanation what is meant by that "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free" slogan, although I grant that many (or, at least, some) of the Palestinian supporters marching in the streets of European and American cities in their fashionable kafies don't grasp the full meaning of it.

The "demographic" meaning of this slogan is explained in full and in a very direct fashion by this popular symbol carried sometimes by more open and unashamed supporters:

Now I hope that even the dimmest supporter of the Palestinian independence understands the language of the above map. No place for Jews on that one...

The reason I remembered all this is that I had visited a Facebook page of an old "friend", one Tammy Obeidallah (she apparently went back to Watts), with whom I happened to have a brief encounter in this post, with a much more detailed one* later.

And what do you know: there is an open letter to Arcanum Public Library, where Tammy was subjected to "a presentation on the Holocaust given by Peter Menke, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville". This is what discombobulated Tammy:
While the historical background he shared was enlightening, I was appalled by his concluding remarks stating that “Israel is surrounded by countries that want to push her into the sea" and that she will be attacked if Iran develops a nuclear weapon.
And why was Tammy appalled:
As someone who has been to Palestinian refugee camps in Gaza, Jordan and Syria, I can attest that they do not hate Israelis. In fact, I was mistaken for Israeli when traveling in Gaza and the worst thing that happened to me was I almost drowned in the tea and coffee I was offered!
Yep. I always suspected that being drowned in tea and coffee is the main risk factor for the Israeli Jews. It is just that we never get close enough to Gaza to be endangered this way.

Well, not being too clever (as usual for her), Tammy immediately suffers a bout of foot-in-mouth:
In the time it took to get in a plug for Israel, Pastor Menke could have better served students by discussing the Holdomor, a massacre and man-made famine in the early 1930s, perpetrated by Josef Stalin and Lazar Kaganovich, a Ukranian-born Jew serving in Stalin's Politburo...
Etc... her love of Jews is limited, unlike that as of Gazans she describes so touchingly. But this is not the point - the point is that, while describing the boundless liquid-enhanced love Gazans feel for the Jews, Tammy sports in her photo collection that same placard (even twice for some reason):

Nothing more and nothing less...

So again, the words of hypocrisy and the deeds of hate - from a usual suspect. As expected.

(*) If you have a quarter of an hour to spare, these two posts will provide you some quality entertainment.

Hmm, looking for a return engagement?

Naw, it will still take bribing the bell hop to find out where...

The "warm thrust," he should say, due to the superior steel in the foundation garment in its everlasting battle with gravity.

Only an uninformed adolescent would neglect to refer to the foundation garment and its superior steel.

Well, possibly. I see you remember the lady.

Yeah, that's true. Still intriguing.

I see you feel some compassion for a fellow writer. OK.

I wouldn't have thought of "warmth." He's obviously thinking ahead.

I think I am beginning to see where the greatness lies ;-)
