BLIND TO TERROR: THE U.S. GOVERNMENT’S DISASTROUS MUSLIM OUTREACH EFFORTS AND THE IMPACT ON U.S. MIDDLE EAST POLICY
This is the headline of the long but mind-boggling article on the disastrous US policy. A quote from its conclusions:
The net result of the U.S. government’s Muslim outreach has not just been the empowerment of extremists at the expense of marginalizing authentic moderates. Now the Obama administration has institutionalized these relationships where the very extremists they have empowered and embraced are now dictating inherently dangerous public policy. Demands by their outreach partners now include purges, blacklists, book bans, star chambers, speech codes, mandatory reeducation and official retaliation against federal employees, with the White House standing up a task force authorized to enforce these measures across the federal government. An article on the subject by Barry Rubin: Make Room for Islamistgate: The Obama Administration's New Scandal.
Without the slightest bit of irony these are all invoked in the name of the First Amendment. To prevent further embarrassment, terror-related investigations are being scuttled by the Department of Justice to protect the senior leadership of their official outreach partners, ignoring entirely what has already been said about them in court filings by DOJ attorneys and even rulings by federal judges. This “compulsory blindness” applied to our intelligence, homeland security, and law enforcement agencies are precisely why investigations into identified terror threats are being stopped in their tracks (Boston, Fort Hood, et al.) at the expense of American lives.
More to follow.
P.S. And on a related subject - thanks to Al Gore, soon in America:
“I think that the addition of a very high quality, twenty-four / seven, honest-to-goodness news channel that covers international news as well as national, that covers climate, that covers poverty, that covers issues that are ignored today, has the potential to be disruptive in a creative and positive way and raise the game for television journalism here in the United States of America.”Yep, and here you are:
Thanks to YouTube, the groundwork is being laid right here in America that could make exploding pressure cookers look like firecrackers; Al-Jazeera and YouTube are both complicit. As unbelievable as it sounds, Al-Jazeera T.V. (yes, the same Al-Jazeera that purchased Al Gore’s Current TV) – in collaboration with the Free Syrian Army – aired an exclusive training session (disguised as a news report) on how to make an improvised explosive device (IED) for its viewing audience, the same type used extensively against U.S.-led Coalition forces, which were responsible for approximately 63% of coalition deaths in Iraq. But this is just a tiny example of what it is all about.
So read the article. And spread it.

Rubin's a smart cookie and he certainly does good work. As for the bomb-making stuff on YouTube, well, the law of unintended consequences may come to be at work there. The Jihadis ain't the only ones interested in attacking things. It might just boomerang on them---and their supportive progressive friends, too.
Hm... didn't think about this angle. Maybe I should open a bomb-making course?
