A short time ago an embarrassing leak of a secret document caused some red faces in TSA (Transportation Security Administration). They have even decided to subpoena some bloggers, trying to get to the source of the leak. Ain't it the sign of the times when every misdeed is blamed on bloggers?
A TSA agent was arrested on January 3rd in Terminal One at LAX, a source told NBCLA. He had just gotten off duty and was behaving erratically, saying, "I am god, I’m in charge."
This time the leak of a most important and confidential policy directive that is guiding TSA in its daily behavior couldn't be blamed on bloggers, thanks goodness for small favors.
A confession to make: due to some domestic issues I've completely missed the news on an attempt to murder the cartoonist. So, in protest of the act and to honor the man:
Thanks to Isaac Schrödinger and may his bureaucratic odyssey come to a happy end soon.
I think this illustration will be appropriate for the case:
The reason, however, for the "renegade British politician" being kicked out is less funny.
An Egyptian border guard was killed and at least a dozen Palestinians wounded in a shooting scuffle along the Gaza Strip border. One official said Wednesday that the border guard was shot dead by a Palestinian sniper while Gazan youths hurled stones across the border at the Egyptian security forces. Egyptian forces opened fire on Palestinians who were pelting them with rocks from the other side of the border over frustration that an aid convoy had been delayed.
It is clear that upon return to his captive British audience, GG, this sorry excuse for a human being, will blame Zionists for all that happened near the border. His rabble-rousing and incessant provocations are not to blame for this death, of course.
And here is another news item, not unrelated to the disgusting subject of this post:
B’nai Brith Canada has condemned the Al-Ameen Post, an Islamic community newspaper, which recently ran an article accusing Jews of bringing into Israel “some 25,000 Ukrainian children” in order to harvest their organs.
The article was reprinted in its entirety from Press TV, the official mouthpiece of the terrorist-sponsoring Iranian regime. According to Al-Ameen’s website, its editorial board members are also the members of the British Columbia Muslim Association Executive Board.
Why is this not unrelated? Because Iranian Press TV is one of the favorite feeding troughs of GG the Spiv, where he is actively encouraged by his hosts to spew his hateful propaganda weekly.
Enough, even a mention of this character smells somewhat awful...
On December 7th, 2009 at 1:30pm GMT Starbucks invited musicians from all over the world to sing together at the same time to raise awareness for AIDS in Africa. In that one breathtaking moment, musicians from 156 countries played "All You Need is Love" together.
Here is the clip put together for the occasion:
I loved especially the appearance of German team:
If you notice (click to enlarge) the glasses on the tables in the background: no Starbucks coffee for these folks!
President Obama will take direct responsibility for administration mistakes when he releases a new report on the December 25 terror incident, according to a senior administration official familiar with the president's remarks.
What's going on here, ladies and gentlemen? Since when does a president of US assume a role that historically, traditionally and maybe even legally (have to check it with our legal dept.) belongs to Jooz?
I mean scapegoating, which is our bread and butter, as you shall see reading this. Hands off our jobs, please, dear POTUS!
P.S. Besides, we have to leave some crumbs (at least) of the responsibility re the pantybomber to one Osama B.L., don't you think so?
All of us know what a beating Israel has taken in the press. Newsweek's Michael Hirsh has taken note of Israel's bad image, but instead of naming the real culprit, he uses it as the occasion for another round of (relatively mild) Israel bashing. The entire problem, according to Hirsh, is Israel's inept public relations skills.
Is it really a sole fault of Israeli PR skills, insufficient as they may be? This and more in Ami Isseroff's post.
An Iraqi parliament member said Tuesday that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki plans to sue Israel for damages done to his country following its destruction of the Tammuz nuclear reactor.
Moreover, the move seems to be inspired by the Unbelievable Nimrods:
Al-Maliki's appeal follows an answer received from the UN Secretariat by the government of Iraq on November 25, which says Iraq has a right to demand compensation for the damage Israel did to it with the attack on the reactor, through a neutral committee which will assess the extent of the damage.
It figures: what else do we have the nimrods for, if not to inspire new anti-Israeli ideas? Anyway, the expected amount of the claim is not specified yet. To help Mr Al-Maliki and his accounting department with the calculations, we'll designate the future claim amount as X, with the following breakdown to use for the final calculations:
Removal of the reactor: X
Less Y for the cost of operation Opera to IDF (to be presented when appropriate)
Less X for being in state of war with Israel
Less 100*X (a rough figure) for avoidance of nuclear conflict with said Israel and conversion of vast surfaces of Iraq into glassified parking lot
Less Z*X for the property of Iraq's Jews that flew Iraq (Z to be calculated based on this and other data)
Less 10*X for damages incurred by Israel thanks to Iraqi Scuds during the first Gulf war, while not being a side to the whole shebang
Less 3*X for the chutzpa and moral turpitude
Less 5*X for the Jewish lawyers to take care of the court proceedings
LessW - whatever else the above mentioned lawyers will decide
I think we have an interesting deal here. Don't you?
Meanwhile, as a sign of good will for Mr Al-Maliki, two (free of charge) clips on the subject of operation Opera (the second one could be actually classified as a musical):
Experts agree that the idea of the G-spot has put pressure on both women and their male partners to find some kind of hidden treasure that leads to orgasm from the penis alone.
No more, thanks to science.
I, personally, think that the whole G-spot idea was invented by Victoria's Secret. With assistance from Hallmark.
One horrifying thought, though: what if this discovery is relevant only to the selected location? I mean Britain, you dirty-minded reader.
This painful for several European countries subject is not going to be forgotten soon (unless it is in corridors of power in Washington).
It was not uncommon for a pharaoh to deface the monuments of his predecessors, insert his name in their inscriptions, or impose his likeness on the heads of their statues. The enterprising ruler—whoever he might have been—responsible for introducing this practice debased the respect traditionally accorded to a Pharaoh’s postmortem, opening the door of precedent for successors to usurp his monuments and achievements in turn. Fiddling with the permanence of the past in exchange for artificial boosts to a leader’s legacy tends to be self-defeating.
Kejda Gjermani, Assistant Online Editor of Commentary Magazine, published an excellent article on the subject. I know that for many of US citizens the subject is of no special import. However, it's important to understand how people in other parts of the world feel about the Obama administration's decision to scrap the project.
One of the bloggers I missed for quite a long period (Since April 2008 actually), Judeosphere, is back. That is, so far, the only really good news item I can share today.
And not only is he back, but in excellent fighting shape too. Just try this as an example.
Welcome back. It didn't become less interesting, unfortunately.
People who get the shivers over tarantulas likely imagine a gigantic bite from a fanged mouth. But as one man recently found out in England, tarantulas are more likely to defend themselves by shooting a mist of microscopic barbed hairs straight into your eye.
The story of a British guy who kept the tarantula for a pet and almost lost his eyes for the trouble is quite amazing. To keep a tarantula is pretty unorthodox by itself, so being a blind owner of one could be a remarkable thing indeed, at least for TV talk shows.
Still, thanks but no thanks: I shall stick to cats. You and they know where we all stand in our relationship, at least.
The rabid anti-Zionists attacking professor Michael Baum include (of course) George Galloway the Spiv and the funky Jews for Justice for Palestinians, but an unwelcome and especially mad addition are Physicians for Human Rights Israel - a Golem that definitely went beyond the wildest dreams of its creators. What could match the following quote in describing the verbal violence of the posse?
The surgeon went to the Community Security Trust for advice because he was worried about his and his family’s safety. He admitted to his audience that he broke down in tears during a private meeting with Israeli ambassador Ron Prosor.
Mughrabi led the worst terror attack in Israel's history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians. Present at the ceremony were Palestinian dignitaries and a children's marching band. Earlier this year, Abbas sponsored a computer center named after Mughrabi.
But 16 years later, it is clear that this initial boost was illusory. Not only is Israel’s standing no better than it was prior to the famous handshake between Yitzhak Rabin and Yasir Arafat on the White House Lawn in September 1993, it has fallen to an unprecedented low. Efforts to boycott and divest from Israel are gaining strength throughout the West, among groups as diverse as British academics, Canadian labor unions, the Norwegian government’s investment fund, and American churches. Israeli military operations routinely spark huge protests worldwide, often featuring anti-Semitic slogans.
To round it off:
Right now, that is what is happening: Israel’s growing pariah status poses a far more serious long-term danger to its survival than any extant military threat. Yet because this pariah status is largely due to its own actions, Israel has the power to reverse the trend. That process must begin with recognizing where the problem truly lies.
You better read the article in its entirety. Now, just for the comic effect: do you remember this guy:
Rarely a mere photo presents a nicer figure of a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, a legal beagle and a (possibly) closet boozer. And, not to forget, UN Human Rights Council’s permanent investigator of alleged Israeli violations...
Now the UN's own conspiracy theorist compares Gaza to World War II, calls for world boycott of Israel. UN Watch, in turn, calls for his removal from the above mentioned job. Enjoy.
Reading the post Fabulous "Miss Camel" Pageant by Yitzchak Goodman aka Judeopundit, I was struck by a sudden question: don't the basic requirements for modesty in places where modesty issue is big, regulate the modest appearance of female animals, such as (but not limited to) camels?
I have looked up camels' images, but as far as dressing is concerned, found only this:
Not being a camel expert, I am not even sure that this is a female one. But if it is, it will be a camel equivalent of a Ms Universe wannabe or whatever Ms of human female species strutting around the podium in a skimpy bikini... I can see where overenthusiastic camel aficionados could lose their self-control, thus I call for this loophole in the modesty laws to be closed.
