Israel Shamir - to see is to believe

From Mick Hartley:

Holocaust-denier Israel Shamir, recently discovered gracing the pages of the Morning Star with his views on Pussy Riot, revisits Pol Pot at Counterpunch.
Just to remind you: this vermin is Julian Assange's bosom buddy.

Wow. I guess the post-Cockburn Counterpunch is not going to moderate the craziness at all.

Why should they? Craziness is their only distinguishing feature.

This from the Counterpunch article Mick Hartley links to: "The Pol Pot the Cambodians remember was not a tyrant, but a great patriot and nationalist, a lover of native culture and native way of life." Oh really? Which Cambodians would those be? The ones who escaped the death penalty for crimes against humanity? Or are living in exile, for the same reason? Hartley refers to this article as "...barely credible garbage..." I prefer a word that Snoopy and I share, from our joint Ashkenazi backgrounds, "drek". So much more expressive.

The other link to The Morning Star (which that site calls "Britain's 'communist' paper") demonstrates that old-style Bolshevism and Stalinism flatly refuses to die: unlike old soldiers, it doesn't even fade away, just continues infecting the atmosphere.

Snoopy's right, and "vermin" is the right epithet.

Yes, Stalinists are a hardy bunch, difficult to exterminate.
