Khaled Meshaal - I am the Arafat's heir

This is what the Hamas' chief in exile, Khaled Meshaal in an interview to Al-Hayat. The meaning of this announcement is somewhat mysterious. Does he declare a war with Suha Arafat regarding the millions (billions, some say) from Yasser's stash that have disappeared without any trace? Or is it Yasser's personal gun he wants to get? Or the kafiyeh?

I say let him have it all, on one condition - he gets Yasser's mysterious disease on top.

Dan Plesch and la-la land of the appeasers

I haven't suspected that I will have to post something in defense of Bush Administration. But the piece by Dan Plesch in Comment is Free left me breathless for a while. Starting with the headline:

North Korea's nuclear policy is not irrational at all

Surely everything in NK is rational, from starving to death hundreds of thousands of its citizens to conducting murderous test of chemical and biological weapons on humans, to kidnapping citizens of other countries, to spending a quarter of its budget on weapons while its citizens starve...

But this is beside the point for Dan Plesch in his zeal to get the world free of nuclear weapons. The first step on the road to this goal, of course, will be to find the guilty party. And of course, here it comes:

Faced with a US government that believes the communist regime should be removed from the map, the North Koreans pressed ahead with building a deterrent.
See how simple - it is the US government, of course, the dreaded Zioneocon imperialist Bush.

First of all, some news for Mr. Plesch: there are lots of people who are not exactly neocons or imperialists or [choose your label] who would like to see the above mentioned murderous regime removed (from the map or otherwise).

Secondly - the aspiring Guardian angel should learn a bit of history. It is amazing how any world problem gets blamed on the current administration. Maybe this picture will help to refresh some memories?

No, it is not the Santa Claus meeting Easter Bunny. Try again, Dan. Then take a look at this timely spoof

Of course, the spoof is not totally fair - many say that, but is it fair to blame the mad Kim on Bush?

But the whole article could be explained easier after reading this:
But for my Iranian friends, waking up to a Pakistani bomb can be compared to living in a non-nuclear Britain and waking up to find Belgium had tested a nuclear weapon.
My Iranian friends, indeed. One has just to remember that Dan Plesch is one of the CND activists, the same CND that is ready to protest US, UK and Israel's nuclear weaponry but falls strangely silent when Chinese nukes or Iranian attempts to get some are being questioned.

Tell me who your friends are, indeed.

Smaller? I will show you smaller!

"You will not use this word anymore when you see the glorious wrath of the Songun science and industry that will find its apocalyptic pinnacle in my next deed, the deed that will show the whole world what a peerlessly great person I am!"

With this words the diminutive North Korean chief Kim Jong Il threw down the coffee cup and tore into pieces his copy of the Guardian where this blasphemous text has appeared:

A North Korean diplomat admitted yesterday that the country's nuclear test was smaller than expected, as doubts were expressed in western capitals about North Korea's claim to have successfully exploded a nuclear weapon.
"I will show you smaller!", he shouted, spraying the table by crumbs and stormed out of his dining room.

An hour later a new decree by the Central committee of the Glorious Workers' Party of Korea and it's great leader Kim Jong Il eliminated the use of the words "small", "little", "diminutive", "miniature", "minuscule", "microscopic", "pocket-sized" and, for some unexplained reason, the word "funny". All gestures accompanying or related to these words have been also strictly forbidden.

In related news:
Niculae Pavelescu, executive chairman of the Romanian party, in his speech said that the WPK is wisely leading the Korean people to advance invariably along the road of socialism chosen by themselves under Songun policy surely guaranteeing the sovereignty and dignity of the country despite the present complicated situation. Victory and glory are always in store for the WPK rooted deep among the masses, he stressed.
Whatever this means.

Muslim Offense Level condition - RED HOT

MOL (Muslim Offense Level) is raised at this time to condition RED HOT due to new information about the Zionists' dastardly intrigues. As if the sacrilegious cartoons and the latest attempt to intimidate the Muslim world by blowing up a nuke in North Korea (who really believes that this pathetic Kim Jong Il midget has done it all by himself?) are not enough, here comes another mindboggling insult:

The cube-shaped building which is being constructed in New York City, on Fifth Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets in midtown Manhattan, is clearly meant to provoke Muslims. The fact that the building resembles the Ka'ba (see picture below), is called "Apple Mecca," is intended to be open 24 hours a day like the Ka'ba, and moreover, contains bars selling alcoholic beverages, constitutes a blatant insult to Islam.
Where does it end, I ask you? For crying out loud, and look at the Portacabin toilets near the building - isn't it clear that the user's backside will be turned in the direction of Mecca, adding more fuel to the already RED HOT situation?

A special general assembly of MPAC (Muslim Prudence Armed Consultants) is called to discuss this and additional aggravating phenomena, such as the infidel-beloved Blue Moon cafe:

We do not have to explain here what is the significance of the dog, an unclean animal by any criteria, howling at the Crescent. And the Crescent painted blue, for Muhammad's sake! Unquestionably, in this filthy abode of depravity, half-naked infidel women serve alcohol to the lecherous infidel men! Maybe even 24 hours a day, without a single break for a prayer...

And this is not all where the Blue Moon is concerned: look at this:

This is Alex - a barman in the gay Blue Moon restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. Unquestionably, the so called Alex serves pork on top of all this!

I tell you, beheading is not enough for these filthy infidels.

N.B. The issue of the so called Hebrew National kosher hot dogs is too delicate and should be discussed on another occasion. Kosher may be cool, but Hebrew and dogs! Not to mention the insulting form...

More music, please

For all of you sufferers who complain about music (Musak actually) relentlessly pursuing you everywhere: elevators, pubs, restaurants, the tinny noises emanating from the teenagers' ears in public transport - there is a new wave coming, let's see how you will cope with this one.

A musical condom designed to play louder and faster as lovers reach a climax is to go on sale in Ukraine. It transmits a signal to a miniature speaker in the base of the condom which play a melody. ...As the sex becomes more passionate, it registers the increased speed of the movements and plays the melody faster and louder.
"What do you think about some Kazachok today, dear?"
"No, don't think so, darling. I am in a mood for opera. I heard that finale of the aria by Pavarotti could blow your socks off."

A brief lesson in Russian

I was going just to post a brief report on innuendo in Russian pro-government press about the possible culprits behind Anna Politkovskaya's murder. However, a recent post on Zionation on the subject of the endless conspiracy theories sounded strangely in tune with this subject.

Ami Isseroff says: "Only the vilest and most demented minds could have dreamed up the conspiracies attributed to Zionism." I am not sure that I agree. I concur with Ami's guess that very soon we'll hear that Zionism is behind the North Korean nuke test, but this is not the point.

From times immemorial the pagans invented various gods and goddesses responsible for every disaster - be it one concocted by nature or by inexplicable abnormality of human behavior. Later, in the age of monotheistic enlightenment, the need for these gods/goddesses has not abated, but was replaced by the constant lookout for the dark power behind the same disaster. And of course, Jews became that handy power in most cases. And it does not take an especially vile or demented mind, I would say...

Now we can go to the Russian example.

"Жиды погубили Россию": or, phonetically, "Zhidi pogubili Rossiyu". Or, in plain English: "The kikes ruined Russia". This call, familiar for the last two hundreds years (at least) of Russian history, frequently uttered just before (or in the middle of) throwing up due to excessive intake of cheap vodka, is nothing new. Not always, though, it is related to sheer drunkenness alone. It was and is used quite seriously on many occasions when a handy explanation for a recent disaster or any other event is required, and the blame clearly applies to the authorities.

It is difficult to break the mold, and so it goes: year after year, regime after regime. The current murder of Anna Politkovskaya is not an exception. The body is still warm and Pravda and Isvestia have already found the way to link the dreaded Zhidi to the dastardly deed:

Version that links Leonid Nevzlin* or, for example, another "exile", Boris Berezovsky**, to the murder, could seem delirious at the first sight. But it could not be denied that some of the persons who left the motherland, must sustain abroad the image of Russia as a country where a person could die for his/her convictions. (Izvestia)

Anna's murder could have been of advantage to the forces of opposition, for example these surrounding Khodorkovsky*** (Pravda)
See how easy it is. Surely the Pravda and Izvestia people are not that vile and/or demented - they are good fathers/mothers, friends, colleagues that just do their jobs, that's all. Same as their Iranian colleagues in IRNA and their Syrian, Saudi and other colleagues. They just have to have that dark power to explain everything away.

As if to add insult to injury, numerous inquiries of the sort "Is Anna Politkovskaya Jewish" are running across Internet as we speak...

(*) Nevzlin - a Jewish-Russian billionaire in trouble with Russian authorities. Currently resides in Israel. Seems to be getting in trouble here too.
(**) Berezovsky - a Jewish-Russian billionaire in trouble with Russian authorities. Currently resides in UK. Seems to be getting in trouble there too.
(**) Khodorkovsky - a Jewish-Russian billionaire in trouble with Russian authorities. Currently resides in Russian jail. Seems not to be in any special trouble there.

The British version of Rashumon?

1. What Straw said

Mr Straw, the leader of the Commons, insisted he did not want to be "prescriptive" of Muslim women's dress, but said the increasing trend towards covering facial features was "bound to make better, positive relations between the two communities more difficult".
2. What Galloway heard

"Who does Jack Straw think he is to tell his female constituents that he would prefer they disrobe before they meet him," says Respect MP George Galloway. "For that is what this amounts to. It is a male politician telling women to wear less. When put like that, there's no one who would be considered part of the civilised political spectrum who would have anything but contempt for Straw.
The gap between the two versions is so big that Rashumon has nothing on the distortion abilities of the Hon. MP of RESPECT.

3. My version

Jack Straw, an astute politico, says something quite innocent when looked upon in its context. Of course, being quite astute, Straw may have not even planned to say something that will fall on fertile political soil - it just happened naturally.

Comes that despicable clown GG and makes a travesty of the whole two-bit issue, trying to capitalize on someone's error (if it were one, which I doubt) and regain some ground he lost with his Muslim electorate. Of course, that picture above put him in some major excrement with this electorate, and he is feverishly looking for a straw (pun intended) to pull him out.

The result is, however, pitiful...

What do you say, my dear impartial reader?

Open letter to Howard Rieger

To: Mr. Howard Rieger
President and Chief Executive Officer of UJC
info@ujc.org

From: SnoopyTheGoon and affiliate blog partners, family members and friends

Subject: Distribution of emergency help money.

Dear Mr. Rieger,

I am writing this letter after reading an article by Ms. Helen Freedman of AFSI that can be read in its entirety here. In the article Ms. Freedman complains about the UJC policy of proportional distribution of the emergency assistance to the citizens of the Northern Israel. According to Ms. Freedman, there should be no allocation of emergency assistance funds to the Arab and Druze citizens from the donations collected by UJC. Moreover, Ms. Freedman is hurt by the fact that the Israeli government pays a compensation to the Arab and Druze citizens of the North (somehow linking this fact with the unhappy fate of Jewish families that were relocated from the Gaza Strip). Of course, Ms. Freedman may be unaware of the law that requires the government to compensate the damage caused by the war to every citizen, but this is hardly relevant to the appeal Ms. Freedman makes to UJC.

Mr. Rieger, the fact that UJC help Arab and Druze families shows that you and your organization are perfectly aware that:

  • The Arab and Druze houses and other property suffered extensive damage during the war - exactly as the houses and other property of Jewish citizens
  • The Arab and Druze communities suffered a proportionally greater number of killed and wounded than the Jewish communities (excluding the IDF dead), due to the sad fact that there sufficient shelters were not built in the Arab villages. It may have been an oversight that is easy to explain, but the results were clear to all.
  • The majority of Arab citizens are loyal tax paying citizens of the State of Israel and the stories about them dancing on the roofs and cheering Jewish deaths are, most probably, a sad result of lumping all Arabs together. Indeed, the manifestations of happiness mentioned by Ms. Freedman were observed in the West Bank and Gaza. But in any case these manifestations are not relevant where humanitarian assistance is concerned.
  • The Druze communities traditionally provide IDF with loyal and able recruits. A Druze unit was the first into Lebanon and stayed there for the whole of the war, performing with valor and resourcefulness.
We support the policy of UJC and other Jewish organizations to provide assistance to all the citizens of Northern Israel. We believe that this is the best way to win hearts and minds of Israeli Arab, Druze and other minorities and to show the world that Jews will not begrudge help to their fellow non-Jewish Israelis in the time of need.

We appeal to you to continue with this policy and not to give in to the voices calling you to change it. A change of the kind demanded by Ms. Freedman will be disastrous and going against the best Jewish traditions of humanism and kindness.

We appreciate your work and all the help you provide to our country,

With best wishes,
SnoopyTheGoon and others.

As if upon an afterthought

Noun: afterthought

1. Thinking again about a choice previously made
2. An addition that was not included in the original plan
"the garage was an afterthought"

Synonyms: reconsideration, rethink, second thought.
What is this all about? Norm has published my profile, and only after a few days I, as if upon an afterthought, have decided to mention this. Like, you know, it is a mundane affair.

Sure. Really... It is like a private being promoted to sergeant and trying to save on beers he is definitely owing to his colleagues.

Indeed...

Rusty weapon?

Iran called the threat of international sanctions over its disputed nuclear program a "rusty" weapon and repeated that it would not abandon uranium enrichment.
For once I am in complete agreement with Iran's ruling gang. Too bad, though.
