Toyota: Software to blame for... what?

After the first take I thought my reading glasses are dirty or summat. But no, it says as clear as an invitation to IRS offices:

Software to blame for Prius brake problems
Brake problems and software, eh? Or, in other words, software and brakes. Meaning that, when you kick the breaks pedal with all your might, a little BRAKING.exe file somewhere in the bowels of your Prius wakes up and starts fighting for available memory with air-conditioning.exe, exhaust gases cleaner.exe, sound system.exe, and a myriad other .exes or what the heck do you call them in Linux? And then that .exe puts its foot wrong (cause the programmer responsible for it loaded too much sake the night before the cutover of the system to production, you know) and the system goes into "Memory Protection Abend x736ww/hhh". Then the system reboots. Then... meanwhile your Prius is already airborne and heads full steam for that big rock at the bottom of the canyon, about 760 feet below...

WTF?

At least now ya'll will stop laughing about the Blue Screen of Death...

And I"ll put these thoughts about environmentally-friendly Prius aside. For now, at least.

Like Instapundit and a few others, I think this has more to do with the in-the-tank media going after non-subsidized automakers. The UAW seems to be in on the bash as well. First Ford, now Toyota. Honda is next.

Could be. Still, a mistake of 30 feet...
