Dubai has identified 15 new suspects in the Mahmoud al-Mabhouh assassination

Dubai police said Wednesday the total number of people believed involved in the death [grew] to 26.
It looks more and more like some secret agents' convention. At this rate, in a few months it will appear that all the hotels in Dubai were booked by Mossad. Aside of that one single room.

And that all foreigners crossing Dubai immigration control are, in fact, Mossad operatives.

Murder on the Orient Express is left standing...

You know, I keep hearing that this was a bungled operation and I am wondering how that is so. The guy the alleged assassins went there to assassinate allegedly is allegedly dead and allegedly none of the alleged assassins were caught allegedly assassinating the alleged victim. The world finds out a month after the fact that not only was this a hit, but that Dubai was overrun with Jooz and nobody noticed them wandering all over the countryside being Jooish. Yes, you may say, but they were caught on camera. Well, the only place in Dubai that doesnt seem to a have a CCTV camera going 24/7 is up the ruler's backside, and even with all the cameras our alleged victim is still allegedly dead, isnt he? Fat lot of good all the cameras did him.

Give it a week or so and I daresay I will find myself as one of the assassins, although Mossad would have to be scraping the barrel to want me or even clome my passport!

Quite the police extravaganza, isn't it? When you can't prove whodunnit, why then you arrest them all. Or try to.

If you are ever in need of a high quality second-hand passport, Jams...

You just wait. Slowly but surely all the tourists will fall under suspicion. This is something Mossad (or whoever) has done right: inundate Dubai by fake passports.

Shoot, what did Mossad do, send a whole tour group to kill al-Mabhouh? To paraphrase Sec. of State Clinton, Does it take a village to assassinate a terrorist? I know Israelis like to work in groups, the kibbutz, the IDF, etec., but this is ridiculus. Of course Dubai might be trying to impress folks by naming every possible suspect.

Serious, here is a stunner. "Haaretz exclusive: Hamas founder's son worked for Shin Bet for years" at http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1151941.html

Hat tip to Iraqi Mojo.

My good friend on the Arab blogosphere wrote a post about the assassination decorated with a Latuff cartoon of how stupid the mossad is. I thought I would dampen some of the jubilation by linking to Arkaky's very pertinent comment here, snoop. I doubt my comments will make it through the moderation, though:

Buj is a great proponent of free speech and the exchange of ideas...

Guest, again, is Noga. Your comment registration is getting too complicated for my capabilities.

It will soon look that they sent every Mossad employee, including retirees and their spouses for a vacation. And the deceased was just an after-lunch game...

Thanks for the link.

Yep. You are absolutely right, and this system is way beyond my abilities to understand software. But did I have a choice? Yes will be a wrong answer.

Supporter of Hamas, Heabollah and Saddam, George Galloway says he might be the Mossad's next target. Read about it at http://www.hurryupharry.org/2010/02/25/drama-queen

Galloway dreams that he is that important!

There could be another explanation: he wants to become a martyr and get him these virgins.

One of those feeble attempts at bravado. Dear buj has nothing to say for himself by way of defending his ideas, arguments or choice of teachers. He can't. All he can come up with is a pathetic flourish which doesn't deceive anyone.

On his blog he tries to convince me that Jews had a wonderful existence in Arab lands before 1948. I mean, are these people for real?

Before I ventured into the Arab blogosphere I did not realize how pervasive in the Middle East was the kind of perverse thinking. If you are not a Muslim, you are simply less than a human being. As Buj illustrated at one point, thinking this was the ultimate proof of how enlightened Islam was:

"At least we have a religion that banned slavery in all forms 14 centuries ago for those who are educated enough to know."

I asked him what about those who are not "educated enough to know": does Islam ban enslaving them as well? And what does it mean "educated enough to know"? To know what?

I doubt this is a question he would ever be allowed to ask, let alone answer, in his milieu.

You wonder about these things. After all this is an educated person, an engineer, someone who spent years in the West, knows perfect English, claims to enjoy classical music, the works... So ignorance can not be an excuse here.
