Chief scientist vs Darwin

Education Ministry's chief scientist unhappy with evolution theory, doesn't agree to be a descendant of monkeys. As an argument offers his 20 years of Likud membership.

Hmm the chief scientist sounds like he needs a dose of physick to calm him down. Then he can get on with research on de-phlogisticated air....

The chief scientist could be a case of design, but certainly not very intelligent one.

Dr. Avital himself is a good arguement against evolution. I agree Snoopy, that his design is not a very intelligent one.

In the inmortal words of that Great American, Bugs Bunny:
What a Maroon!

Slightly OT: The trend of Israeli Foreign Ministers from Golda Meir and Abba Eban to Avigdor Lieberman would by itself be enough to refute evolution.*

To paraphrase the 19th Century American writer Henry Adams who said that about the progression of American Presidents from Washington to Ulysses Grant. This was after Grant did not offer Adams the diplomatic post in Europe that Adams as the grandson and great-grandson of two Presidents thought he deserved.

This is nothing yet. We have to wait until he discovers that we are not only the descendants of monkeys but pigs too...

Henry Adams was an astute man. Which is impossible to say about Mr Avital.

This, Peter, is given to interpretation. Islamic scholars cannot make up their minds on the genealogy. Sometimes the assign us to monkeys only and Christians to pigs, sometimes the opposite, sometimes it's a mix. I wish they would have decided and closed the issue.

Love the monkey's scepter. Or is that a bell? I suppose it could be a goblet.
