A million dollar parking? What for?

That was a doubly (at least) mysterious news item for me. To start with, the name of the person who pitches the parking:

The private garage at 66 E. 11th St. is "for someone who wants complete privacy," said Prudential Douglas Elliman Vice Chairman Dolly Lenz.
How is she/he called at home (or in the office, for that matter), I wonder? And then:
"You can drive in and not be seen again," Lenz said.
Hm... a million dollar for that? I know places (including parking lots) where people drove in and where never seen again for free.

Go figure out them New Yorkers...

Ha our resident parking permits cost £20 a year (actually a great idea given that our street used to be swamped with commuters, parking their cars and walking the 6 minute s to Romford Station).

A couple of year ago I parked my last car and lo and behold it was never seen again either! I saved over $999,950 too!

That's the best way to get rid of one's car, provided its' insured, of course.

For $1 million I can do that for anyone too.  Just call:  555-555-5555 and ask for Vinnie.

For $1 million? You must be joking. In NYC it could be done for 300 bucks and a pizza. In extreme cases pizza will suffice.

But they find the body and get caught.  Vinnie has experience.  Have they found Jimmy Hoffa yet?  Just call:  555-555-5555 and Vinnie will do the rest.

Nope. Too dear. I shall stay with $300. And the pizza.
