Paul Krugman, the NYT pet economist and the Liberal Conscience, said recently:
United States used the September 11 attacks as an excuse for launching wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mahmoud (The Mad) Ahmadinejad said, however:
And then the attack was used to justify an unrelated war the neocons wanted to fight, for all the wrong reasons.

Reports are coming out that Iran was behind 9/11.  A megaton or two should solve that problem.  Perhaps if we had a real President....

That's an interesting story, but it's been obvious for a long time that Iran was involved. Don't hold your breath for retaliation, however. Even Bush Jr. wouldn't attack them over their arm shipments to Iraq.
