Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is the murderer of Daniel Pearl: vein matching says so

Several news sources, such as WSJ, got the name of the technique wrong: it is not vein analysis but vein matching, as this NYT article says:

After studying the pattern of the veins on his hand, American investigators concluded that Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, a senior operative for Al Qaeda, wielded the blade that killed Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and executed before a video camera in Pakistan in 2002, according to a new report.
Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has other reasons to get a rope (or an electric chair, whatever). Now he has more.

I don't believe that this will ease the minds of Judea Pearl and Ruth Pearl, but at least it brings some kind of closure, I hope.

Thanks for linking to this grim story. Asra Nomani was a good friend and colleague of Daniel Pearl who was staying with him and his wife Marianne in Pakistan when Daniel was kidnapped. The Pearl Project was a seminar for the last several years that Asra led a group of graduate students at Georgetown University in investigating Daniel's horrible murder.
