The incredible prophecy on CiF

I did a double-take, then a triple-take, still it reads the same:

Libya under Gaddafi is well on its way to becoming a family-owned dictatorship...
No shit...

I guess we'll read in ten (or twenty) years something like this written by the same author:

"Comrade Generalissimo Supreme Caudillo Chavez shows some signs of becoming a potentate of Venezuela."

or

"North Korea, under the glorious leadership of Kim Il XXX is in danger of losing its democratic freedoms."

Unbelievable.

The author's profile:
Raza Naeem is a Pakistani PhD student of Middle Eastern history at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, US. His specialization is in history of the communist movements in the Arab world and Pakistan. He has also been a communist activist in Pakistan for the last eight years.
I don't know what to say. Is that question on membership in the communist party already dropped in US visa application? And what kind of history do they teach in Fayetteville?

Whatever. In any case, they surely know how to pick them in The Guardian...

P.S. Since CiF was mentioned, here comes: The Use of Nazi Analogies on CiF
