Russian authorities arrested at least 135 opposition protesters, including a leading Kremlin critic, at rallies demanding freedom of assembly, state media said.Besides being with you in my heart, guys, and grieving about the history spiraling (down in this case) out of control, just a remark: in Russia one should demand not just freedom of assembly, but rather freedom after assembly.

Yes, that is a good one. It is like the joke about a person in a dictatorship who is standing on a street corner collecting their thoughts when they are arrested for illegal assembly!
Unfortunately you are right about Russia, Snoopy. Under the reign of Vladimir I, Czar of all the Russians, the country is heading full speed backwards to authortarianism.
