Just some light relief

Nothing to do with anything this site usually deals with (other than pics of beautiful feathered birds), but a delight. My sister forwarded me this YouTube clip (5 and a bit minutes long) of what she called a "classical flash mob" forming and playing. It brought a wide smile to my face, hope it will to yours.

How long did it take you to spot the tune?

It brought a wide smile to my face, too, thank you.

I hope this comment will be published. I tried to post a comment on your previous article, but Internet Explorer flatly refused to comply, and not for the first time. I've opened the site in Firefox, hope it works.

Happens sometimes with IE. And sometimes with FF.

Audio sounds suspiciously like a full orchestra at the end. Much fuller than a street ensemble. The faces are the best part, anyhow.

Doesn't work for chrome, either.

Loved it. Especially the children's reactions.

BTW it took me only 7 notes to realize this wonderful rendition of Beethoven's Ode de Joy.

Could be. A show is a show, after all.

Cool. Wish I could say the same.

BTW, I stole this from you, with the proper Hat Tip of course.

Me, too. It's a standard in beginner music instrument books.

I'm getting sentimental in my old age. I turned it off after a few seconds. They were just playing the melody on the part I heard, but I don't think if I can listen to the actual last movement of the 9th without getting choked up.

Hm... happens to me lately too. Sign of age or do I see my dentist too frequently lately - among other doctors?
