I don't know re French settlers. With them, there is some good wine produced in Alsace. Without them - who knows?
As for Syrian rodents: Syria is a respected sovereign state, almost member of UNHRC, and its rodents are its internal issue, of course. Or not? It's difficult to know these days what is and what isn't someone's internal issue...

French settlers, out of Alsace!
Too bad this isn't happening in Holland. "Hamsterdam" sounds a lot better than "Hamsterlsace".
Alsace for rodents!
BTW - is Europe concerned at all with the fate of the syrian hamsters?

Who needs french wine? Try some romanian Murfatlar or Cotnari, you'll give Burgundy to the hamsters as well!
UNHRC, you say? UN Hamsters Rights Council, huh?
Who needs french wine? I do, do start with. I am familiar with both Murfatlar or Cotnari, but prefer Bordeaux in any case...

I'm surprised that all the activity at the breeding center leaves the little critters with time for litigation.
Let's not forget that the lawyers breed much faster, so in EU there is no lack of offers.
What else can you expect from a bunch of snail eaters?
Good smelly cheese and good wine ;)
Wow. Even a feline lover like I was taken aback somewhat. That's a serious threat - all because French wines?
French wines? Pshaw!
Y'all clearly need to try the Texas vintages. Such as Llano Estacado.

I'm surprised you don't prefer the Negev wines we sampled a few months ago at the source. That was good stuff.
