Technicalities

About something I wanted to avoid: as of today, only registered guests will be allowed to comment. Obviously, this is due to a sharp increase of spam. Apparently the hailed Google filters don't do their job well.

And to those whose comments were deleted inadvertently lately: please accept my apologies.

While spam is wonderful as survival food it is horrible on the computer. (When it hardens it is like cement.)

You do what you need to do to keep going.

All the usual sign-ins work? Google, etc? So it isn't so bad--it's what I normally do avoid commenting anonymously.

Thanks for understanding. It is just that I wanted to keep the comments as free as possible...

Well, yes, most regular sign-ups should work. If no, please tell me and I shall check again.

It was a pain having to sign in all the time. Seems to be working better for me now.

Okay by me. All comments on the `uk-based engageonline site are moderated. Just takes time to get posted.

Yeah. Well, at least for now the measure stopped the deluge of spam. A small miracle.
