For full disclosure: I am not one of the supporters of rabbi Shmuley Boteach. Being an atheist, albeit of non-militant persuasion, I couldn't have been pleased more than seeing Hitch destroying Boteach in an argument.
But this is not an argument against or for religion. This is a rather heated debate with Jeremy Ben-Ami, the founder of J-Street and a rather slippery customer. And I am happy to say, Mr Ben-Ami lost, by a clear and indisputable KO.
Enjoy:
And remember: lying doesn't always pay off. As Mr Ben-Ami learned, quite painfully.

Lying works great, ask Wormtongue.
Only works if you know your sign. And which house your Moon is in.
Not so for Bibi. He is bad at this.
This is a whole closed book for me. I could never take to all this crapola.
It all has to do with Uranus Snoop!
Aha! Thanks, it clears the matter now. There are a lot of mysterious things related to my... to Uranus, I mean.
Hey, don't try to make it about me, it's Uranus that's the subject here!
What are you referring to?
Got to give it to the rabbi, much as it pains me. Saw the opening and kept going for it till the point got through. Well played.
What the other guy was saying is plausible, but it's just a rumour.
The main point wasn't made though. It's the Obama who has made a huge fuss out of this. It's like he was looking for something to latch onto and make trouble.
Oh, they just didn't have time to get to that. Interesting what the liar would have said, though, indeed.
I am referring to Bibi usually getting caught in his lies about two hours after uttering them.
That's precisely what I am saying: Uranus ;-)
If I didn't know better, I'd think you were one of those weaselly Chaldeans I have to keep around for soothsaying (keeps the mother inlaw happy) and miscellaneous scribe work. That reminds me I haven't had any fun in a couple of centuries. Bring me a soothsayer, now! I want a weather prediction for next year! It's amusing to watch them squirm.
Who's on first?
Only works for Wormtongue because he's a Democrat and so is most of the American news media. Fox can't be everywhere at once.
It's Barry's reverse-Midas touch. He could turn gold into poop.
There is a drawback, though. You have to keep the soothsayer alive for all that time. Why not to ask for prediction of the next week? Thus you can have fun with torturing him (her) almost immediately.
Yeah, I guess there is something in that.
;-)
Well you have to be careful, whack em to quick and you could get a bad rep.
I see.
