This "cartoon" doesn't require a lot of interpretation:
By Amos Biderman |
Update: an answer in kind, by Orit Koppel:
Update:
“It was certainly not my intention to insult or upset anyone,” Biderman told Haaretz on Thursday. “I wasn’t sufficiently aware of the great sensitivity that 9/11 holds for Americans.”Apparently it's easier for Haaretz's employee to confess to being an idiot than to own up to being a bastard. Oh well...

Does he think 9/11 was funny?
Amazing how low some contemptible "editorialists" can get.
I can't say what this character was thinking, if at all.
Unfortunately yes.
That'll keep the conspiracy mongers fueled for a long time. See? Even an Israeil newspaper knows the Jooz did it.

Thank god we have people like this in the "public information business", I for one will sleep better knowing nothing could slip by his keen awareness of current events.
Yeah, he is a without doubt a prize for any progressive media outfit. Dreck.
People like him don't care about 9/11 and he doesn't know anyone who isn't like him. Which is a fairly common trait of journalists, a very insulated bunch.
I simply cannot believe that a person working in the media in Israel isn't aware of the impact of 9/11 on Americans - or, as a matter of fact, on most other sane people. His response is just bullshit, he was perfectly aware of the reaction his stinking cartoon will cause.
