Marie Colvin and Rémi Ochlik RIP

The better a war correspondent does her/his job, the riskier it gets.

The cost of going into a war zone can be your life.  The good correspondents run into the war zones without a second thought.  The bad ones run the other way, crying about the lost of freedom.

Sadly so... The rsf monument at Bayeux lists over 2,000 reporters killed since 1944. Not all in war zones  of course.
