The news as heard on the Army radio, no link:
Four ministers were stopped in the vicinity of Jerusalem by the highway patrol, driving on the shoulders of the highway. Each of the offenders explained his behavior by the need to be on time for a government meeting.
From this point on the fate of the four was different. Two ministers apologized for their behavior and were let go with a warning. The two others decided to pull rank and as a consequence were fined NIS 750 each.
So what is the lesson here? Yes, entering Jerusalem on Sunday morning is a pain in the neck. Almost, but not quite, of the same magnitude as arguing with a pissed off highway patrolman.
