Operation Charlie Foxtrot

The man uses same noun twice in the quoted below sentence, but a fact is a fact:

In fact, you can say what you want about the origins of the current mess in the Middle East, but the fact that America’s relations with every important country in the region are worse with the exception of Iran is telling.
Or, in an even shorter but all-inclusive description:
The technical foreign-policy term for this is giant cluster-fuck. (In the military’s shorthand, using its own phonetic alphabet, the expression is charlie foxtrot.)
Now read the whole piece (subscription required, but easy with your e-mail address or your FB ID).

Iranian Defector: 'U.S. Negotiating Team Mainly There to Speak on Iran’s Behalf

Dick Stanley said...

Exactly: “The US negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal,” he said.

So the post above is not surprising at all. The Congress will never go along with any deal signed. Only thing I'd worry about is the Pentagon turning over more Israeli secrets to Tehran.

Pshaw, she's just a mouthpiece. Licking his shoes when she's not humping his leg.

He's paid to lie and paid well and he lies and lies and lies. No pity.

Sounds just about right.

Still, becoming a pincushion for the press on behalf of the boss is a thankless job.

I don't think anyone is paid enough to deal with that crap. Consider the aggravation and the need to play stupid all the time.

I think the Iranians already have at least one device (deliverable is another question) and all this so called negotiations is their effort to see what more they can get. Any agreement , understanding, etc, that comes from this though is as Jerry Clower says is "graveyard dead" and useless, with the exception of Administration bragging which will be short lived.

Seems to be on track.
