Probably just a case of mistaken identity. The Husband showed up stinking drunk and reeking of another woman's smell, so naturally the Wife thought he was a skunk and shot him!
Hmm. A likely story. As the bumper sticker says: "Don't Mess With Texas Women." They might be carrying.
