Challah on Monday

On a very light note (sort of), and via The Elder of Ziyon, comes this small item. Note the spelling (and I guess the pronounciation) of the first 7 letters of the blog heading, and think Friday night. The subtitle of the blog is "Middle East Nonsense. Anyway, it's a brief item, and here's a brief quote: "Will [December 2012] be the first month in 5 plus years without a rocket or mortar being fired from Gaza into Israel?" No idea, but read and enjoy it.

Maybe air power can win a battle, if you have competent spies on the ground.

What a trade. Give up your nation and rockets stop. You could have stopped the rockets by doing what Assad has been doing. Killing everyone in Gaza.

Katie, I don't think that's what Challah was saying (whatever anyone else might be). His point is that, so far this December, there have been no rockets from Gaza. One possible reason is, as suggested earlier this month, because Hamas have lost a huge amount of their arsenal, and it's proving difficult to resupply. Perhaps they also lost a significant number of important leaders. What I don't think is being said here is what you've taken from it.

Still, you know and I know that without an infantry grunt on the ground it's half a victory, at least in the long run.

That's why we are different from Assad, I like to think.
