"We feel terribly awful"

This is real sad. Nah, not really:

The winner of a cockroach-eating contest has died minutes after downing dozens of the live bugs. Edward Archbold, 32, had won a python for polishing off more cockroaches and worms than around 30 other contestants.
As for that expression in the headline of the post, it's by the roach store owner Ben Siegel, and I really feel for him. I didn't participate, and I already feel terribly awful from nausea.

RIP Edward, but you (and the other 30 contestants, by the way) are not a great loss to the gene pool.

On the contrary it is a great loss to humanity. Now more than ever the pest control business needs a more personal touch. Edward Archbold could have had a great career in this area personally consuming pests in any given household

The mere thought of what he did is nauseating.

I didn't think about this application of his talents, frankly, my bad...

Oh I don't know, Shaun, I reckon he's a great candidate for the next Darwin Awards: you know, the ones awarded to those who take themselves out of the gene pool through their, umm, devotion to lack of wisdom or thinking through the possible consequences.

I think you were right the first time, Snoopy.
