Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said on its website on Monday that the attack on a police station in Sinai on Sunday in which 16 policemen were killed "can be attributed to Mossad" and was an attempt to thwart Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.The only question is: why was it published only on Monday, when the whole event took place on Sunday? Hm...
The statement said the Mossad was trying to abort the Egyptian uprising that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak last year and that it was "imperative to review clauses" of the agreement between Egypt and Israel.

They do, oh how they do.
Someone on Twitter noticed that the MB put out a bland generic condemnation of the attack in English while accusing the Mossad in Arabic. The person who tweets as Ikhwanweb tried to deny it and then figured he should make the accusation sound reasonable. The whole thing is hilarious.

Interestingly, Morsi did not blame the Mossad. I wonder if there is a little ideological daylight between him and the MB. I don't know the answer, but I wonder.

I would guess that Morsi leaves this work to his minions. First of all, it allows such attacks to be deniable. Second, he still needs to be on the good side of US - for now, at least, till he finds a new donor.
