Coincidentally, I just hung a framed other version you made of this fellow. Haven't seen him around lately.
Just your basic Blue Jay. We don't have them in California, oddly enough. Instead we have Western Scrub Jays. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Scrub_Jay
Not oddly. The Scrub Jay is quite a bird on its own merit.
