They say so themselves:
Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani addressed reports claiming that the Mossad was behind the blast at a military base near Tehran and said that they were "myths."On the other hand:
Iranian armed forces chief of staff Hassan Firouzabadi also denied that Israel was behind the blast. Speaking to ISNA he said that the blast occurred during research on weapons that could strike Israel. There must be a lesson somewhere in that statement...

The standard Iranian excuse is to first blame Israel, America,or both.
AAlthough not getting much coverage in the western pres, there are a fair few terrorist groups operating in the country and to be honest I really can't see them collaborating with MOSSAD,
They certainly wouldn't admit Israel was involved even if they knew it was. It would show their vulnerablity to infiltration.
But Mossad's involvement in myths is a blast!!!
Indeed, Iran analyst Michael Ledeen is saying it was an inside job:

Better both, it is cheaper that way.
Good that they have an internal opposition able to do that.

I wouldn't cheer too loudly, mon ami. I get the impresson that these groups hardly wish to make Irann another land flowing with milk and honey (so to speak)
At least some change. You know how that word is popular now in some places ;)
They were working on weapons "that could strike Israel" and yet Israel should not express pleasure that the weapons were destroyed.

Iran has become very advanced at the art of thinking contradictory things. Looks bad for the World Arrogance.
Yeah, World Arrogance doesn't seem to be able to catch up.
Did you notice that Michael Lederen at pajamasmedia credits as his source Richard Silverstein and therefore Tikun Olam. Not sure I would want to place too much credibility to that source.
