What is allowed to Jupiter...

Two headlines from the Ynet Updates caught my attention today:

Peres: Israel should not stay quiet on Iran

Kadima MK Shimon Peres said Tuesday that "Iran is playing a double game. On the one hand it speaks of civilian nuclear energy and on the other about exterminating peoples."

Senior IAF officer: Israel has long arm, multiple options

"Israel has a long multi-purpose arm which is based on the air force which has varied operational options for different scenarios," a senior IAF officer said Tuesday.

Brigadier-General Amir Ashel spoke of the various aspects of an IAF operation within large distance of Israel.

With deepest feeling of nostalgia I remember the times when senior IDF officers knew to keep their mouths shut. Wait, in fact there never was such a time...

We have to remind every officer, from major and up, that good old proverb: what is allowed to Jupiter is not allowed to the bull.

Another option will be to install in the head of each "senior officer" a voice box that will allow only two sentences: "Gimme food!" for the canteen and "After me!" for the battlefield.
