While the Western world is watching from the sidelines the Kurds fighting Daesh practically alone, and applauding limp-wristedly, as usual, one man in the whole world intends to do something about it. The Turkish Caliph wannabe, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, really intends to send his soldiers to Syria - to fight... the Kurds.
The bravery and the self-sacrifice of this long oppressed by all the Middle Eastern countries minority doesn't leave Mr Erdogan apathetic. Far from it: he hates the Kurds even a bit more than he hates the Zionists. So much so that, after years of impotently threatening the murderous Baby Assad regime and doing zilch to help the rebels, he is finally ready to send his troops in the harm way. But not to end the bloodshed, just the opposite.
On Friday, the country’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accused Syrian Kurds of ethnic cleansing. He said: “I am saying this to the whole world: We will never allow the establishment of a state on our southern border in the north of Syria.Yeah. This is the leader of one of the members of NATO, a good buddy of the current POTUS and his diplomatic sidekick.
“We will continue our fight in that respect whatever the cost may be.”
For shame.

I'm not interested in distracting the readers but can't resist to mention an other buddy of the POTUS.
Two news item from the Israeli press:
#1. Kerry owns million-dollar stake in Noble Energy Corp., which is currently fighting for the right to maintain a duopoly with Delek Group over Israel's natural gas fields.
#2. Dan Shapiro urged Knesset members opposed to agreement to be absent or abstain during vote on plan.
Please don't forget Netanyahu's rude meddling in US party politics either, your country's existential interests and your boss million bucks - what is the difference?
Heh, so true...
The Kurds have been condemned to death by the free world already. This is the last nail in the coffin of any international guarantee, benevolence, humanistic intervention.
I hope not, Peter, for their sake. I hope they will find the strength to stand up to this two-bit tyrant as they stand up toe Daesh.
They don't have any chance against the Turkish Army without very significant outside help - what will be denied from them.
I hope they get some.
Getting so you can't tell a Syria player without a scorecard
That is so true. And causes IDF a major indigestion on the Syrian border. Go figure which side to help... shoot them all, I say.
As I said Snoopy...

Yep, thanks, got it from another source, post on it tomorrow.
Like I said elsewhere, now if those stubborn Kurds would just convert to Islam. Otherwise, they can kiss their butts goodbye.
Oops, my bad. I should have said if the Kurds would dump their few Christians (and the ones who have fled to them from ISIS) and become pure Muslim, well, maybe...
In fact they are Muslim, but of a wrong shade of Islam. Not to the liking of Daesh. Or Erdogan, for that matter.
Consorting with Christians (swine according to Koran) unless they pay the jizwa (tax) ain't good Islam.
Oh yes. Kurds and their relatively free way of life is not to the liking of the fundies. I hope Israel will continue helping them.
