Who could possibly resist a title like that? Even if one isn't a film buff or even a film-goer. Anyway, The Tablet tells us that Pitt has been seeking to make this film ever since he read "IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation" by one Edwin Black.
Who would have though that punched cards and a Hollerith machine could be such a potent weapon of genocide. Actually, anyone who's read Max Weber on bureaucracy and his (more implied than actual) extension of the notion of rational organisation taken to irrational extremes.
Assuming the report is accurate, we might be able to see for ourselves just how amoral large, indeed mega-sized, multinational corporations can be.

I suppose it was "America's most powerful..." when the book was written. It certainly wasn't then and isn't now. But I'm sure Brad is just tickled pink at his chance to make a real (?) anti-American movie. His first or other? Beats me, I avoid the pretty boys of Hollyweird.
Now, now, let's not knock IBM. After all, I spent quite a few years working for them. And by the way, their stock is way undervalued, almost always was...
And thanks for the link, I am sure it's a nice gesture, hope the POTUS hears it...
He probably demanded it from the Dem majority to give him cover on the subject. Not knocking IBM. It was a big deal when you worked for it, making the most popular PC, if I have the time period correct, but that was long ago.
Well, IBM still has a lot of good things going. Like investing in fundamental scientific research more than most countries in the world etc.
