So, comrade Chumpsky, it's not Faurisson affair only now...

From Modernityblog:

…From at least 1984 through 1992, [Noam] Chomsky corresponded with a man who, during those time periods, was one of the leading authors and editors in the Holocaust denial movement. And it was a very friendly correspondence, complete with praise for the denier’s work, and an offer of assistance on Chomsky’s part.
It is quite an educational experience to read the letters addressed by the Mastermind of the (last) Century to L.A. “Lou” Rollins, the Neo-Nazi in question. A mind boggling quote re Eli Wiesel:
His attitude towards Israel is essentially the same as that of Communist Party members towards the USSR, or of "good Germans" towards the Nazis.
That our hero hates Eli Wiesel is one issue, but in his usual sloppiness he used a tactless comparison that may have caused a heartburn to his newly gained Nazi friend...

"Still, I find it hard to believe." Modernityblog says. I beg to differ, almost nothing about comrade C. surprises me anymore after all these years together on one planet. The only thing that continues to surprise me is the cosmic level chutzpa Noam the Mastermind displays. A lesser man would have stuck his head in a toilet bowl and drowned self long ago.

Not Noam, though, and I am more than sure that we'll see and hear his sloppy counter-attack soon.

One of the reasons I'm not surprised...

Chumpsky. I like that. I've used the variant Chompsky from time to time.

I feel very glad that I have never read any of his political works. His psycholinguistics studies (The most tedious subject I studied and uni way back when)were enough to make me never wish to read another word the man wrote

I can't be a judge of his scientific achievements, but his political writing is characterized by extremely free use of facts, especially elegance of ignoring ones that don't fit. Sloppiness that reached a level of intentional lying.

If his linguistics are similar, I pity this branch of science.

I think I picked it up from Francis Sedgemore.

The linguistics have some value. And Bobby Fischer was a good chess-player.

That (Fischer) I can understand. True.
