Conficker or April Fool virus alert

As Fox warns their readers here, the virus that infested millions of home and office PCs on the quiet is going to strike sometimes today.

Be aware that most of the links shown on your screen will revert to the dreaded "End of the Internet" link.

Owners of the LCD screens are warned that the virus will create a black picture with slowly moving iridescent dot. The purpose of the dot is to burn away individual LCD cells (selectively), the act that after a few hours will show any picture with a huge unprintable word construed of the burnt-out cells in the middle of the screen.

It is advisable to turn your computers off for the duration, let's hope that the virus will cease its activities tomorrow.
