At the time it was a revolutionary tank indeed, and played a major role in many tank battles of WWII.
It was found in a general area where many Soviet tanks were kept, collected in 67 and 73. The intriguing question is how a T-34 got into the mix with more modern tanks Soviets provided to Syrians, Egypt etc. Due to large quantity of captured tanks, the documentation was scarce, I believe. We may never know.
