Navy SEALs: 1, Osama Bin Laden: 0

Good job. Next - Bin Laden's goat second in command, I hope:

And now from Bradley Burston:

God bless this country America. God bless this country which, because it is made of humans, often has trouble figuring out what to do, how to fight the good fight. God bless this country which, in the end, does the right thing. God bless this country for which the world has no substitute.
Yep.

Another goat joke. "...the CIA is still trying to notify bin Laden’s next of goat."

Now America is facing the biggest threat ever, and it's not coming from the jihadists. There are 72 very angry virgins up there...

I would rather say down there, in the ocean depths, in this case. Mermaids and all that stuff...

;)

Yep, and the more the merrier.

No tears shed for this piece of filth. I doubt that it changes much though

Well, I would say that improving the mood is a good change in any case. But you are right otherwise.

Burston's gushy sentiment is a trifle embarrassing, and hardly professional, especially when, apparently, our military is providing no proof that Osama was actually killed. No photograph, for instance. His body, they say, was "quickly buried at sea." How convenient.

I would say that burial at sea is an excellent idea. Any other would have caused creation of a site visited by all kinds of crazies.

As for the fact of death: I am quite happy with it. Imagine what could happen if it was a fake report. In a day or two we'll all be watching a tape of smiling OBL courtesy of Al Jazeera...

To each his own, although all you have as evidence is the word of a president that a majority of Americans (according to latest polls) do not trust, a military that has been caught lying before, and the cheerleading of media that is skeptical when a black Democrat is not in the White House.

I've always believed that Bin Ladan was killed at Tora Bora, many years ago, which seemed to be comfirmed by no further provably-recent video appearances, only audio tapes notoriously susceptible to doctoring and they only confirmed by our hapless CIA which normally can't find its butt with both hands.

I see Jake Tapper is reporting that, according to unnamed White House officials, there are photographs, but they are too gory to be released. They could have handled this in a number of ways, if it was true, that would have silenced skeptics like me. Remember Wag The Dog? Obama's polls have been in the dumper for months. Further affiant sayeth not.

I am not shedding any tears over this man's death, but I also know that like the Hydra, another will rise up to take his place.

Ding Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead! HooRah!

Fall asleep before the announcement last night.
Talk about a surprise this morning when I saw the front page of the paper! Had become pretty cynical about all these proclaimations over nearly ten years since 9/11 about getting Bin Laden. Guess I was wrong to have been so. Great news, the best we have had since the collaspe of Communism 20 years ago.

Snoopy, thanks for this post and all your other posts, especially the duck one. Have not been able to comment lately because can no longer do so at work. Will have be pc sent up hopefully next week. Will be able to comment more then.

True, but one still can celebrate the hydra's head removal. At least for a while.

SnoopyTheGoon said...

Yup, its' good news definitely. See you later, then.

im sorry, but doesn't 9/11 score bin Landen a point aswell?

SnoopyTheGoon said...

Hi troll,

The answer is: it depends on the point from which you manage the score. Anyway, Bin Laden can always ask for a rematch, you know. So keep the count in your head.

wait... so are you saying that 9/11 doesn't give him a point???
